I first learned of this tag from an "authoritative" speaker at SMX East 2009, who siad it was useful. But everything I have read says otherwise. I need to do more research, but right now I'm leaning towards the view that it is not used by the search engines. So you seem to be on the right track. Arthur, the gumflapper at the SMX East 2009 should get back to actually working in SEO instead of giving out this mis-information, if that's the advice he's giving to people willing who pay 800 dollars a day to listen to his words of wisdom. Who was it? BM

Revisit-after meta tag: I'm embarrassed to say that I have used it on 7 sites as my SEO told me, and I quote "The Revisit-after meta tag is the only way Google knows when to come back to your sites!" That's one SEO I won't be revisiting-after any period of time!
