Toolbar Page Rank update is underway.

Google Toolbar PageRank Update September 2006

Google started their PageRank update on Thursday, 28th September, 2006 but it has yet to filter through to all of the datacentres. This means that some people viewing the toolbar will see different results than others until PageRank has been updated throughout the Google network.

From what we can see so far, it has been a good update for our sites, with most sites gaining index page PageRank and sites with longevity regaining the internal pageRank that they lost in the last PR update, which was on the 13th July, 2006.

As well as updating toolbar PageRank, Google have also updated their backlinks at the same time.

Once the dust has settled and the older datacentres have caught up, I’ll report on the effect that this update has had on PR in general.

If you have any questions or input to make on how the PR update has affected your website, don’t hesitate to drop me an email.
