Woo Woo Cocktail Drinks Recipe

So you were out last night and tried a Woo Woo - fabulous, wasn’t it! So now you want to know how to make a Woo Woo :) A Woo Woo is one of my wife’s favourite cocktails, so I have to make them fairly regularly, so I thought I’d share my Woo Woo recipe with you - it’s very straightforward:

How to Make a Woo Woo - Ingredients

  • 1 shot of Vodka
  • 1 shot of Peach Schnapps
  • 3 shots of Cranberry Juice
  • 1 wee toty dash of lime cordial

If you have a cocktail shaker, stick some crushed ice in it, give it a few shakes and pour through a sieve. If you don’t have a shaker, simply keep your Vodka, Peach Schnapps and Cranberry Juice in the fridge. The purists will be screaming “No” at the moment, but life’s sometimes too short to mess about with shakers and pre-cooled alcohol and a wee stir with a fork can save on both time and washing-up on a busy cocktail night. I usually serve Woo Woos in a highball glass, although a wide brimmed cocktail glass is pretty, but I find that using such glasses in a room full of my wife’s friends, leads to spillages and broken glasses, the more cocktails that they consume! :)

Garnish with a piece of peach that has marinated in Peach Schnapps for around an hour. Traditionally, you would garnish with a piece of lime, but I find the marinated peach is always appreciated :)

For the calorie conscious amongst you, the above Woo Woo Cocktail Recipe will build up around 200 calories - but who cares about calories when you’re having cocktails, eh!!! Some people like to add a shot of sugar syrup to the Woo Woo drinks recipe, but I personally find that it’s sweet enough without it  - and it hikes up the calorie count by roughly 90!

So now you know how to make a Woo Woo! Be aware, however, that Woo Woos are very moreish and don’t taste particularly alcoholic, but the are - so drink sensibly! Enjoy! :)
