Embedding YouTube Videos in Blogs

Bruce Lee playing ping pong with nunchucks

I was checking out how to embed a youtube video into the blog and I came accross this film supposedly of Bruce Lee playing table tennis (ping pong). It appears to be a Nokia advert and it has obviously been doctored, but it made me smile, so I thought I would use it to test the Youtube video embedding in the Blog.

Embedding Youtube Videos in Wordpress Blogs

When you embed a youtube video into your wordpress blog, prepare the page first, using the full visual editor. Buy that, I mean write all your content, using your heading tags etc. so in this case it was the blah, blah Bruce Lee plays table tennis with nunchucks, etc, and leave a space for the video. Then, before embedding a youtube video in your blog; click users, then click your profile and unclick the visual editor option. Paste in the code and save. Once published, you can turn the visual editor back on for other posts, but don’t return to make changes on the embedded video article without first turning the visual editor back off - or you end up buggering up the post.

Good article. There’s a more of good info here, though I did want to let you know something - I am running Redhat with the up-to-date beta of Firefox, and the design of your blog is kind of bizarre for me. I can read the articles, but the navigation doesn’t function so great. How Ironic - your website, laser-tech.org, doesn’t render propely in any browser - what a wierd choice of spam to send me when your own website is a mess? BM
