Meet the Team

We don’t boast the largest team of designers and optimisers in the UK, but we’d be confident of pitting our skills against any website optimisation company in the land and beating them hands down for speed, quality, results and value for money. The current Kenkai team has been together for over three years, which is one of the main reasons for our success in an ever-changing industry. We find that our clients like to be able to speak to the same person each time they contact us, so retaining our key staff members is one of our highest priorities.

Kai started his own web design business at the age of 13 and by the age of 16 had the skills and knowledge of a seasoned professional. Kai is an expert in CSS, Flash, PHP, dynamic search engine optimisation and graphic design. Kai has developed one of the only fully spider friendly shopping carts and content management systems available on the market today. Highly regarded in the industry, he has taught CSS techniques to many of the top SEO professionals in Scotland and to several web design companies elsewhere in the UK.

Kennie’s background is in Sales and Marketing, working in senior management positions and as a trouble-shooter with MFI, Magnet PLC, Smart Force, Speed and Taxback. He has been involved in web design for 15 years and has specialised in Search Engine Optimisation since 1998 and the birth of Google. Kennie is an expert in SEO and is regularly invited as a guest speaker at business events throughout the UK. His skills include wordsmithing, optimisation, CSS, HTML, graphic design and ensuring that all Kenkai projects run smoothly and to deadline!

Dolidh started working for Kenkai part time whilst studying her HND in multimedia and was so highly thought of that not only was she offered a full time job, but Kai proposed to her and they are now happily married! Dolidh is a talented Graphic Artist and an expert in IT, PHP, CSS and HTML. Dolidh also handles most of our technical support queries.

Fraser trained at the BBC in 2003 before studying HND Television Operations and Productions at James Watt College until 2005. He has worked in corporate video production in the past 2 years including music videos, weddings, training videos, adverts and speeches. Fraser originally joined the Kenkai team to allow us to offer web video production to our clients. He has since moved in-house, to become a trainee web developer, while the video production side of Kenkai develops.

Rich’s background is in IT, having worked in senior management positions with Rank Xerox, Lucas, ILC CFM, and the London Borough of Hillingdon Council. As well as being an IT specialist, Rich is an expert in HTML, CSS, PHP, ASP, Graphic Design, Database Design and SEO.

Kevin has worked for IBM for the past ten years as a computer specialist winning many major awards for his work within the industry. He has worked with CBS, Sony, Truste House Forte, Marks and Spencer, Next, Morrisons, Equifax and Norwich Union, to name but a few. Kev has been involved in search engine optimisation and search engine marketing for five years and is actively involved with organisations that support new business ideas, offering impartial advice to help young businesses work more effectively. Kevin is employed by Kenkai as a search engine marketing consultant, offering potential clients, free, no obligation advice. His in depth knowledge of online business strategies and detailed knowledge of all business IT systems is proving to be invaluable to both our clients and to the company.

Andy has worked in IT for 15 years for the likes of Sony, BUPA, Arthur Anderson and Societe Generale. Since working in IT Andy has spent five years building and analyzing online advertising campaigns for several small to medium sized businesses in Google, Yahoo and Miva. Andy is a fully accredited Google Adwords professional who enjoys a close relationship with Google and has vast experience in both adwords and analytics. In the last year Andy managed Adwords campaign costs of £3 million and Yahoo campaign costs of over £200k.

Gordon is one of the top press photographers in the country. His pictures regularly feature on the front pages of the Nation’s top newspapers, The Times, The Guardian, The Telegraph, The Sun, The Mail, The Daily Record, The Independent, The Scotsman, not to mention the thousands of magazines that have used his work. Having Gordon on board, means that we are never stuck for a web graphic – we can always get exactly what we are looking for.
